Parenting rooms
- Chifley Library parenting room: building 15, Level 4, open during library open hours.
- Acton Early Childhood Centre parenting room: building 72, 22 Balmain Crescent, open during normal business hours.
Parenting rooms are available to ANU staff and students needing a place to nurse or attend to young children. The rooms provide a baby changing table, nappy disposal, privacy screen for breastfeeding, comfortable chairs and kitchenette.
The rooms may be accessed using your ANU card. To gain access please email security@anu.edu.au with your name and uni ID and the room(s) you would like to access.

Childcare centres
Acton Early Childhood Centre (formerly known as Parents on Campus Childcare Centre) exists primarily to help students and working parents with full and part-time child care. Advance bookings are usually necessary. Families are required to submit a waitlist application, places are offered as they become available to those at the top of the list, with preference being given to existing families and then ANU staff/students. 22 Balmain Crescent - building 72.
Heritage Early Childhood Centre is a community-based Childcare Centre run by a management committee of elected parents. It offers part-time and full-time care to parents who are ANU students and employees or interested members of the community. It is advisable to place your name on the waiting list well in advance, as places are in very high demand. Lennox House building 75.
University Preschool and Child Care Centre caters for staff and students' children up to school age. Lennox House (Blocks E and F) building 75.
Central Canberra Family Day Care arranges
for child care on a full-time, part-time and casual basis (e.g., after school). Care is arranged for children of all ages with Educators in private homes in Canberra. Care is also available on a casual or permanent basis at the centre on campus for visitors to the University. 16 Balmain Crescent, building 67.
